The revival of Turn Village Residents’ Association in 2018 has introduced positive improvements to the local community, for instance due to a campaign by the Association, residents and small businesses in the village have been brought up to speed with the introduction of high speed broadband.
TVRA has a smart new logo designed by a resident of Turn.
Turn Village now has a social art gallery. Inspired by picturesque photos of the area posted on their social media page, the disused bus shelter has been given a new lease of life as an art gallery. Many of the photos have been framed and displayed in the “Shelter Gallery” along with artwork from local children and archive photos of TVRA’s history.
A monthly litter pick and weed clear keeps the village looking smart and the introduction of flower tubs dotted along the main road adds a splash of seasonal colour.
Community gatherings have proved a popular addition to village life, with many local residents helping to ensure each event is a success.
There will be further campaigns, fundraising and community gatherings held throughout the coming year, all helping the local community come together for good.
